Safeguarding

Loch Leven Church acknowledges its duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults to ensure their safety and well-being.

Our safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice. We believe in the necessity of creating a healthy culture where the value of all people is recognised and where we respond appropriately when this is undermined.

Loch Leven Church will work in partnership with other relevant agencies, as and when, appropriate to ensure there are clear lines of accountability and decision-making processes within legal parameters.

We have a Safeguarding Policy, which is updated annually. This can be downloaded from this link: LLC Safeguarding Policy 2026. All those who work regularly and directly with young people or vulnerable adults are PVG checked and undergo training at appropriate intervals as required by law.

The designated Safeguarding Officers for Loch Leven Church are:

Joanna Coyle – Safeguarding Lead – 07535472353

Anne Stoton – Assistant and PVG lead

Richard Gibb, Graeme Gunn and Ant Drew – Elders

Any safeguarding concerns must be discussed directly with one of them or referred via email to: safeguarding@llc.org.uk in a timely fashion and before any further action is taken.
