WHAT ABOUT OUR YOUNG PEOPLE?
Every Sunday all children (babies through to primary 7) experience safe, age appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in a creative and relevant way.
All our leaders and everyone in the church who works with children have been disclosed by Disclosure Scotland. We would love to see you and your family visit Loch Leven Church.
We also plan regular outdoor activities for both kids and youth. Here are some photos from our recent visit to Willowgate Activity Centre.
Here’s what’s on offer during a regular Sunday Service:
creche
Creche provides a safe and friendly environment – and lots of toys for your little ones to enjoy!
Loch Leven Kids
Children from the age of 4–12ish (or primary 7), meet together to have fun, sing lively songs and explore the bible. Email Katharine for more information: katharine@lochlevenchurch.com
Youth First
This is a new initiative which starts in the autumn of 2023. Aimed at 11-14 year olds, this group is to help older children grow in their relationship with God and make the transition into Youth. Youth First will meet once a month while the main Church meeting is happening, similar to Loch Leven Kids, and on the other Sundays the older children will join in the main Church service.
Youth
From S1 onwards our young people are part of the main service, but we have a youth group that meets every Tuesday night. Our meetings normally involve some chat, an ice-breaker or game, and a Bible study. We have around 12 regulars and this is a mix of year groups from S1 to S6.
We love getting together when we can and have organised an activity day at Lendrick Muir, movie and games nights, attend Magnitude events, and a water sports activity day. Some of our young people are involved in KYTHE (kythe.org.uk) and SU Scotland (suscotland.org.uk) – both organisations that are doing amazing work with young people.
